Our Story

A Legacy Rooted in the Sonoma Soil

Founded in 1889 by Italian immigrant Vitale Sattui, our estate began as a humble vineyard and has grown into one of Sonoma County's most treasured historic landmarks. Today, the fifth and sixth generations of the Sattui family continue the tradition of farming with passion and crafting wine with integrity.

Situated in the heart of the Russian River Valley, our 150+ acres of estate vineyards produce the fruit for our award-winning wines. We believe that great wine starts in the vineyard, with a deep respect for the land and a commitment to sustainable farming practices.
